Position Summary:

This document describes the major responsibilities of the Lit Floor Supervisor. The Floor Supervisor’s job is to ensure that the front end of the store is running in a fluid manner consistent with Lit’s #1 operational goal of creating a “Happy Customer.” The Floor Supervisor, through the direction and assistance of multiple employees, will facilitate the successful implementation of Lit’s SOP’s by acting as a liaison between the Assistant/Store Managers and the other Store Employees.

*Flexibility in scheduling. We are a seven day a week operation, nights and weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF LIT FLOOR SUPERVISOR:

Customer Service: Promote Lit Culture, Manage Greeter Program, Assist Shoppers, Ensure timely Checkout for Customer, Ensure timely Carryout for Customer, Administer Ticket Checks, Reverse Ticket Errors, Manage Suggestive Selling Program, Authorize Sales Returns.

Register Operations: Open/Close Cash Drawers, Cash Drops, Provide Change (Coins), Void Erroneous Tickets, Change Prices (POS), Enter Returns (POS), Add Barcodes (POS), Enter Employee Discounts (POS),

Inventory: Ensure Full and Proper Floor Presentation of Merchandise with respect to Lit procedures of stocking, labeling, signage and marketing. Give Direction to Stockers. Support Management with respect to Cycle Counts and Audits. Serve as liaison between “Floor Presentation” and “Back-Door Freight Receiving.”

Human Resources Management: Support Management in training CSR’s & SCO’s on SOP’s. Enforce SOP’s by verbally pointing out execution errors to CSR’s & SCO’s. Report CSR & OCR errors/issues to Management.

NOTE: Floor Supervisors are NOT AUTHORIZED to implement disciplinary measures. Floor Supervisors should communicate their recommendation of disciplinary measures to the Assistant/Store Manager, as their recommendations do carry heavy weight in their outcome.

*Must lift boxes, minimum 75lbs
*Exposure to Extreme weather conditions required-may is required to work in freezer/coolers

LIMITATIONS

Floor Supervisors are not Assistant/Store Managers, and are therefore NOT AUTHORIZED to be left in the building as the sole person in charge.

Likewise, Floor Supervisors are NOT AUTHORIZED to: prepare cash deposits, make bank runs, open or close the store, discipline employees, hire and fire employees, schedule employees, maintain time clock, access the safe, or reconcile bank ledger.
